Please check the following before each event:
Microphones
-
Are they turned on/unmuted?
-
If mics are wired: Are they securely plugged in on both sides?
-
If mics are wireless: Have the batteries been changed?
-
Can you hear the mics through the house speakers?
Your mixer/sound system
-
Is it powered on?
-
Are the cables connected securely?
-
Have the individual input channels been unmuted and adjusted to your preference?
-
Does LiveControl have a dedicated feed (auxiliary output)? If so, has the output of this feed been unmuted and turned up?
The LiveControl audio interface
-
Is the power light on? No - make sure the USB cable is secured into the back of the interface and the USB port on our encoder.
-
Is the cable connection from your Mixer/Sound System secure? Some of our interfaces support XLR and ¼” only. Others support RCA and ⅛” as well.
-
Plug a set of headphones into the headphone jack of the LiveControl interface to hear the audio being sent to the LiveControl encoder from your sound system.
If there is no signal: Please revisit the steps above to ensure you are sending audio to our interface.
If there is signal but it’s too loud, soft, etc.: Adjust settings on your in-house sound system to ensure we are receiving a signal that sounds the way you want it. Please do not adjust the levels on our interface unless instructed to do so by LiveControl.
