What is the maximum length that a stream can be?
The maximum length for a stream is 6 hours.
How much time is needed between streams?
A gap of 10 minutes is required between streams in the same location.
What if my streams are longer than my credit length?
If your streams are longer than your credit length, additional credits will be charged.
Can I stream from multiple locations at the same time?
Yes! Please note that the general web player/profile page will display the next chronological event. If you wish to direct certain viewers to a particular location's stream, you should share the direct link to each stream in advance.
When should I schedule my High Holiday streams?
We recommend scheduling your HHD streams as soon as possible! If you need additional credits, you may purchase them via your Dashboard.
Do you support auto-captioning or live captions?
We currently do not support auto-captioning. If you’d like to explore closed captioning options with third-party providers, we suggest Streamtext or stream to YouTube Live and use their auto-captioning feature.
If using a third-party captioning provider (like Streamtext), you may either:
- Embed the LiveControl Web Player or Profile Page on your website, and embed your captioning provider's integration below the web player on your website.
- Offer viewers a direct URL for both the LiveControl stream and your captioning provider's feed, so they can view the captions next to the web player (two windows open) on their computer.
We have an ASL interpreter on-site - can we integrate this into the stream?
If you have an on-site American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter, we do offer a picture-in-picture feature for ASL interpretation. This will require dedicated use of one of your cameras, as well as a technical sync to set up the integration. If turned on, the picture-in-picture framing will be applied to all High Holiday events. Does LiveControl offer ticketed streams?
No, we do not currently offer ticketed streams.
Our new Event Registration feature allows you to capture viewer names & email addresses on Produced Events. We also suggest using the Password Protect feature if you’d like to restrict access to a stream.
How can I test ahead of High Holiday events?
You may use the “Test Event” feature in your Dashboard. Click here for more information on testing.
Can I see how many people watched my event?
Yes - you can use the analytics in your Archive to view details on past events.
