What is the Web Player?
The Web Player is where viewers can watch your streams live as well as the recordings after the fact. Each scheduled event creates its own unique, private Web Player link. The general Web Player can be embedded (to show any upcoming events), as can the unique per-event Web Players. The Web Player includes a whole host of features for both the viewers and your team:

Relying on our Web Player as your streaming destination eliminates the need for you to periodically update your page privileges (like Facebook) and gives you the peace of mind that should you need assistance, you can call our Support team.
What is the Profile Page?
The Profile Page is a full-format web page that can be linked to or embedded in your website. The Profile Page includes:
- The general Web Player (shows all events at all locations connected to the account)
- Upcoming event schedule (optional)
- Past event archive (optional)
- Organization description (optional)
- Social media links (optional)
The URL for the Profile Page can also be customized!
Note: We do not recommend displaying the Profile Page link if you are a Funeral Home, as all services appear on the web player here. To increase privacy, we recommend either password protecting the services or embedding the individual event web player instead.
How do I customize my Web Player and Profile Page?
Step by Step Instructions
- Start by logging into your customer Dashboard and going to Stream Settings -> Web Player tab.
- Customize your Display Name, Profile Page link, and Theme. Be sure to save any changes!
Note - if changing your Web Player / Profile Page link, please ensure to update the link on your Website, social media pages, or anywhere else that you link to LiveControl. - Click View Profile in the top right to see how your Page appears to viewers.
- Scroll down for more customization options. At the bottom of the menu, you'll find layout customizations like display your upcoming stream schedule, display the video archive, and customize your Web Player Button.
- Be sure to save any changes you make!

LiveControl's Web Player is the most reliable destination for viewers to watch your streams. When streaming to third party websites like Facebook and YouTube, there are variables beyond LiveControl's control. With our Web Player, you know that Support is just a text or phone call away.

How do I get the link for the Profile Page so I can add it to my website?
Head to the Web Player tab. Beneath the Profile Page Link section, click "Copy Link".
Can I embed my Profile Page, general Web Player or individual event Web Player?

Can I hide upcoming events (Schedule) or past events (the Archive) on my Profile page?
Yes - To hide upcoming events, toggle off the "Schedule" under "Customize your Layout". To hide past events, toggle off the "Archive" under "Customize your Layout".
Are there any restrictions on what the Custom Button can link to?
No - use this button to link to anything from a fundraising page, to your organization's website.
Can I customize the Custom Button per stream?
No - this button is displayed on your Web Player and Profile Page, and cannot be customized per event. Any changes made via the Web Player tab will apply universally.
Can I hide access to the Profile Page?
We do offer white-labeling services and can remove all access to the Profile Page. Reach out to your Customer Success Manager for more details.
