What are the features of the Mobile (iOS) App?

Start and stop your event anytime on the day it's scheduled

No service? Record directly in the app without streaming

If the stream drops, the app will automatically attempt to reconnect for up to 5 minutes

Where can I download the Mobile (iOS) App?
The LiveControl Mobile App can be downloaded directly from the Apple App Store. Download the app here.
To begin scheduling and streaming events using the Mobile App, you’ll need to select one of our supported Mobile options (e.g., iOS Only, iPad Bundle, or Mobile Enterprise). Scheduling must then be enabled and added to your account by the LiveControl Customer Success team.

Is there a videographer included?
No. Mobile streams are static and managed directly by your team.
Can I schedule an event through the app?
No. All scheduling is done through the LiveControl Dashboard to keep the app interface clean and simple.
Are Mobile App events monitored by LiveControl?
No, Mobile App events are not actively monitored. However, you’re always welcome to contact LiveControl Support if needed. Most issues are typically related to your local cellular or WiFi connectivity.
Do I need special permissions to use the app?
Yes. Anyone using the Mobile App must have Manage/Edit Events permissions enabled on the LiveControl Dashboard. Without this, events will not populate in the app.
Does the app work with Android?
No. The Mobile App is currently only available on iOS devices (iPhone or iPad).
Can I use WiFi instead of cellular?
Yes. The app works over either WiFi or cellular data, but your connection quality will directly impact the stream.
How do I upload a recording if the stream fails?
Once service is restored, the app will prompt you to upload the locally saved recording to the original event link. This ensures continuity for your viewers.
Can I preview the stream before going live?
Yes. Select the camera icon at the bottom of the screen to preview the viewing window. You'll also get a preview when you choose to enter an event.
What kind of accessories do I need or recommend?
While not required, we recommend a tripod, external microphones, and a protective case to stabilize your device and improve audio/video quality. Learn more about setup options here and recommended accessories here.
Can I use this app internationally?
Yes, but stream performance will depend on the local cellular or WiFi provider, just as it does domestically.
